We provide a range of services to the public and funds a number of voluntary organisations to deliver information and advice services including services to people with disabilities

Under our governing legislation, we ensure that members of the public have access to clear, accurate and comprehensive information about social services, and to provide feedback that helps shape social policy.

Websites

We provide information directly to the public through citizensinformation.ie and also hosts mabs.ie

Mortgage Arrears

We support Abhaile, an independent, confidential, and free service that helps mortgage holders in arrears find the best solution to stay, wherever possible, in their homes

Social Policy and Research

We deliver evidence-based social policy and research by analysing data from our supported networks and engaging with stakeholders to inform and influence public policy.

Publications

We provide accessible, customer-focused information and advocacy services, particularly for vulnerable groups through a range of inclusive formats including online, phone, print, and in-person supports. For more information is available on our Publications page.

Service Delivery Companies

We support and fund a network of Service Delivery Companies that provide direct services to the public. These include:

• The Citizens Information Services (CIS)

• The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS)

• The Citizens Information Phone Service (CIPS)

• The National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities (NAS)

• The Sign Language Interpreting Service (SLIS)

• The Register of Irish Sign Language Interpreters (RISLI)
  
  

We support these services by providing oversight, infrastructure and ICT services. Through their frontline work, we ensure access to social services and support the development of social policy.
